Dr Sujata Sanjay (Born on 8th July 1980) from Uttarakhand, India achieved the record “First Gynaecologist Doctor to Take a Challenge of Delivering a baby in a Post- Renal Transplant Patient”. She did successful pregnancy delivery in a Post- Renal Transplant Patient. The major risks for mothers during pregnancy delivery include hypertension, infections and risk of preeclampsia, which is characterized by high blood pressure proteinuria and worsening kidney function. Prematurity and low birthweight are the two main risks to the newborn. The pregnancy was terminated in the 38th week by an urgent Caesarean section due to fetal bradycardia. The patient has given birth to a healthy baby girl. The delivery took place at Sanjay Orthopaedic, Spine & Maternity Centre, Jakhan, Dehradun on 26th November 2012.
