Ayyappa Masagi (born on 1st June 1957) from Karnataka, India is the Founder Director of the Water Literacy Foundation, a Citizen Sector Organization and Rain Water Concepts (I) Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore that are committed to making India a water-efficient nation by raising awareness on sustainable natural resource development, rainwater conservation and effective utilization of resources across rural, urban and industrial sectors. Constructing more and more lakes and recharging bore wells are his means of harvesting rainwater to increase and sustain the water table. In this mission, he has so far constructed over 500 lakes and recharged over 2000 bore wells all over India.
